LA ÚNICA E INTERNACIONAL SONORA SANTANERA

The Unique and International Sonora Santanera, founded in 1955 by the trumpet player from Tabasco, Carlos Colorado Vera, is one of the most iconic groups in tropical music in Mexico. Throughout its extensive career, it has fused rhythms such as danzón, mambo, bolero, rumba, chachachá, guaracha, and cumbia, creating an unmistakable style that has left a mark on generations of Mexicans. Among its achievements are two Latin Grammy Awards and multiple recognitions, including the recent 2022 Medal for Artistic Merit awarded by the Congress of Mexico City.

On September 5, 2025, Arena Guadalajara will host this legendary group. During the evening, attendees will have the chance to relive hits like "La Boa," "Perfume de Gardenias," and "Por las Calles de la Ciudad," among others. The performance promises to be a celebration of their musical legacy and an opportunity for new generations to experience the richness of Mexican tropical music.
